Glass.

Choosing the right glazing for your finished frames is a vital part of the process. Luckily you have a great choice of options along with a fantastic knowledgeable team to guide you along the way. Below are examples of what we offer.

Ordinary Glass.

Our ordinary glass is a crisp and clear low-cost option for your framing needs. This glass measures at 2mm thickness and is recommended for standard protection for any works of art on paper, prints or paintings.

Non Reflective Glass.

Our non-reflective glass or sometimes called diffused glass is acid etched to achieve a non-glare, diffused finish. We often recommend this option for glossy prints or photographs and ideal for these artworks that are to be placed in a harsh light. Non-reflective glass will beautifully soften an image and is a better option against glass that may add to the glare of an image.

Art Glass.

Artglass AR 70TM has an invisible glass effect thanks to its anti-reflective coating, reducing unwanted reflections to less than 1%. Easy to clean and abrasion free, we recommend the art glass for works that have a matt or satin finish to ensure the glass does not conflict with the work (we do not recommend for glossy prints/photographs). Artglass has 70% UV protection and is scratch resistant.

Acrylic Glass.

Acrylic or Perspex is a fantastic solution for anyone looking for something a bit lighter than ordinary glass or for a safe alternative for children’s framing. Our acrylic is shatter resistant, light weight and a good quality material which can also benefit larger art works where safety is a concern.
